History of HIV / AIDS In Posters

Exhibition HIV/AIDS. History in Posters opened today in the city of Orel in the mega-complex "Green". The exhibition consists of 20 posters created in different years since the beginning of the HIV epidemic. The oldest poster, presented in the exhibition, was designed in Great Britain in 1984. Posters are provided by different organizations, including UNESCO and the ILO.

Each poster reveals different aspects of HIV infection - prevention, awareness and tolerance.
Visitors can see how designers and artists from Germany, Belgium, UK, USA, Russia and Moldova conveyed the ideas of responsible attitude to life, tolerance towards people living with HIV and the global aspect of the HIV epidemic through a variety of artistic techniques.
The exhibition is aimed at students and young people. Russians who are under 30 years account for two thirds of the total number of people living with HIV in the country.
During the 2010 exhibition will be placed in 11 cities of Russia at major universities, youth clubs, exhibition halls, museums and galleries. Geography of the exhibition covers the Far East, Volga region, Siberia, south and central cities of Russia.
The project is implemented in cooperation of the Coca-Cola HBC Eurasia with the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria with the support of UNAIDS.
